These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and silverflick regarding your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or enrolling in our programmes, you agree to be bound by these terms.
If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our website or use our services.
Services Description
silverflick provides financial education programmes for children and teenagers aged 11-19. Our services include:
- Structured educational programmes (Foundation, Builder, Independence)
- Family financial workshops
- One-to-one financial mentoring
- Educational resources and materials
- Parent consultation and support
Programme descriptions on our website are accurate at the time of publication but may be subject to reasonable modifications to improve educational outcomes.
Eligibility
Our programmes are designed for children and teenagers aged 11-19. Enrolment must be completed by a parent or legal guardian for participants under 18.
By enrolling a child in our programmes, you confirm that:
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the child
- You have authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of the child
- All information provided is accurate and complete
- The child is able to participate in group learning environments (where applicable)
Enrolment and Payment
Enrolment Process
Enrolment is completed through our website forms or direct communication with our team. Once you submit an enrolment request, we'll contact you to confirm programme details, scheduling, and payment.
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or agreement to a payment plan where offered.
Pricing
Programme prices are stated in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change, but changes won't affect confirmed enrolments.
Payment is required in full before programme commencement unless alternative arrangements have been explicitly agreed in writing.
Payment Methods
We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, or other methods as agreed. Payment processing is handled securely through third-party payment processors.
Late Payment
If payment isn't received by the agreed date, we reserve the right to suspend programme participation until payment is made. Persistent late payment may result in programme cancellation without refund.
Cancellation and Refunds
Your Right to Cancel
Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of enrolment (cooling-off period) for a full refund, provided the programme hasn't commenced.
If you request the programme to begin during the cooling-off period, you acknowledge that your right to cancel may be reduced or waived for services already delivered.
Cancellation by You After Programme Commencement
If you cancel after the programme has started:
- You'll be charged for sessions already delivered
- You may be charged for sessions scheduled within the next 7 days
- Remaining fees will be refunded within 14 days

Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel a programme if:
- Minimum enrolment numbers aren't reached (group programmes)
- Instructor illness or emergency makes delivery impossible
- Circumstances beyond our control prevent safe delivery
If we cancel, you'll receive a full refund of fees paid or the option to transfer to an alternative date or programme.
No Refund Circumstances
Refunds won't be provided for:
- Missed sessions due to participant non-attendance
- Voluntary withdrawal after the cooling-off period without valid reason
- Programme termination due to participant breach of these terms
Programme Attendance and Participation
Attendance
Regular attendance is important for educational continuity. If your child must miss a session, please notify us as soon as possible.
We'll provide materials from missed sessions but cannot guarantee equivalent educational value to live participation.
Behaviour Expectations
Participants are expected to:
- Treat instructors and other participants with respect
- Engage constructively with programme content
- Complete exercises and activities as requested
- Follow reasonable instructions from programme facilitators
Disruptive behaviour that significantly impacts other participants' learning may result in programme removal without refund after appropriate warnings.
Health and Safety
You must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, learning differences, or other factors that might affect your child's participation or require special accommodation.
We'll make reasonable adjustments to support diverse learning needs, but we must be informed in advance to do so effectively.
Intellectual Property
Our Content
All content on our website and in our programmes, including text, graphics, logos, images, curriculum materials, and educational resources, is owned by silverflick or our licensors and protected by copyright law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.
Programme Materials
Materials provided as part of our programmes are for personal educational use by the enrolled participant only. They may not be:
- Shared with non-participants
- Reproduced for commercial purposes
- Used to deliver similar educational programmes
- Posted publicly online
Participant Work
Work created by participants during programmes remains their intellectual property. However, by participating, you grant us permission to use anonymised examples of work for educational improvement and marketing purposes unless you explicitly opt out.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We don't guarantee specific educational outcomes, though we strive for quality delivery
- We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific programme
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be legally limited.
Safeguarding and Child Protection
We take safeguarding seriously. All staff working with children undergo appropriate background checks and training.
If we become aware of safeguarding concerns regarding a participant, we'll follow established safeguarding procedures, which may include reporting to appropriate authorities as required by law.
Parents are responsible for ensuring appropriate supervision of children during virtual sessions conducted from home.
Privacy and Data Protection
Our collection, use, and protection of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy and GDPR compliance procedures.
